Hi, welcome!

I am Kim Silverman, an artist, wife, and mom living in Apex, North Carolina with my husband Chris, our babygirl Ellie, and our labradoodle, Nala. I was born and raised, married, and graduated college in Mississippi. I moved to NC after graduating college in 2017. I began painting after I felt prompted in a time of prayer to buy some paints and to do so. Later that same week, I was invited to paint a poster for an upcoming women’s conference, despite not having any background in art. Then shortly after that, a woman who didn’t know me or that I had recently picked up a paintbrush for the first time in years spoke into my life. She said that she felt I was called as an artist and that she saw that I would have art on display in galleries in the future. I was greatly encouraged by the prophetic nature of her words! Since then art has continued to be a joyous outlet of spiritual expression, conversation, and healing. Now I’m happy to be able to share that with you.

In addition to painting, I enjoy baking, tennis, writing music, and hiking amidst nature’s beauty, which is where I draw much of my inspiration for my paintings.

Oftentimes, when I am working on a particular piece, lines of poetry will come to my mind to accompany the artwork. In this case, I will include these lines along with artwork’s description.

I believe art is one of the most powerful vehicles for transformation. It can facilitate personal transformation as you sit with and view a treasured piece. Art also has the power to transform a space, an atmosphere, and the world around us. I hope to create art that inspires you and fills your space with peace, love, and joy.
